Love is a dangerous game
more deadly than a war
it has the instant power
to knock you to the floor.
And when you're down and out
it's plain for all to see
just another victim
of loves old misery.
It cuts you to the bone,
far deeper than a blade
it makes you question everything
driving you insane.
Love is like a lottery,
you have to play to win
just don't gamble other peoples hearts
purely on a whim.
The prize can be amazing
and is always worth the game
but if you miss to chance your hand
you've only you to blame.
So step up to the table,
and lay down all your cards.
Don't make love the joker,
let it be the ace of hearts.
