The darkness is a giant
crushing all below
taking you to places
you didn't want to go.
It's up there on the mountain top,
and down in the valley below.
Falling like a veil
over new laid snow.
Creeping like a monster
rolling over sky
swallowing up the villages
and the passers by.
But just when hope is lost
you start to see the stars
and know someone is watching you
if only from afar.....
